Research Manager – Connectivity

Job description

- Our Client is looking for a Research Manager for its Connectivity Research Practice in Delhi, India. This practice focuses on conducting market research and consulting engagements for telecom equipment and telecom services provider clients in India and in APAC region.

In particular, the Research Manager will be:

- Manage a team of 2-3 connectivity research analysts in India and APAC

- Responsible for the strategy and planning of the connectivity research at the India level

- Working on ad-hoc telecom market analysis and custom research projects as required meeting internal/external stakeholder needs across all levels of the organization

- Presenting the results of the research project to the client and provide recommendations as to how the client organization should leverage these results.

- Reporting to a Research Head based in China.

- Managing the quality assurance of all connectivity projects.

- Supporting the sales team during the proposal building stage for connectivity / telecom projects

Required skills

- Excellent knowledge of the Telecom equipment and/or Telecom services industry in India – APAC exposure is a plus.

- Good level of telecom technologies experience (3G, Wimax, Managed Services, Unified Communications…)

- Excellent analytical skills - must think strategically - critically evaluate and clearly synthesizes information

- Excellent writing skills 

- Excellent presentation and communication skills required to communicate analysis, findings and recommendations to clients

- Excellent Project Management skills

Preferable work experience

Minimum 6 years of experience in a market intelligence / market research role with a telecom environment.
