Job Description

Role:

1.     FPGA / Digital board design for Data acquisitions applications

2.    Perform system level designs, Board level block diagram design, schematic generation, circuit analysis, CAD layout support and validation of hardware, utilizing the Company specified hardware design tools

3.     Perform FPGA/CPLD coding Development in languages like VHDL, Verilog

4.  Ensure that overall hardware is fully qualified prior to production sign off in accordance with the VTI Instruments Development Process

4.     Provide maintenance support for existing designs ensuring prompt rectification of problems

Experience:

1.     Expertise in working with high speed digital boards with good analytical skills & problem solving skills

2.     Expertise in layout techniques for high-speed circuits

3.     Experience in Data acquisition & control systems

4.     Experience in Hardware / FPGA design tools - Xilinx ISE, Altera Quartus, Lattice ISP, Matlab, Simulink, Altium, Allegro

5.  Experience in Hardware Description languages like VHDL, Verilog

6.     Effective interpersonal, communication, presentation and reporting skill

Preferable:

1.     Minimum 6 years experience, need to work independently 

2.  Knowledge of PXI Express, VXI, PCI/Compact PCI

3.  Knowledge on I2C, SPI, PCIe, Ethernet, USB, DDR, AXI, etc interfaces,

4.    Knowledge in high speed data acquisition, fixed/floating point calculations
