Job Description

• Supervising and guiding the work of the various groups within NPE-NLD/ILD, carrying out periodic reviews and maintaining co-ordination within the various groups to bridge the communication gaps.
• Reviewing the daily/weekly/monthly reports emanating from NLD/ILD O & M, ITIC, RIEPL,POI,I & C etc., taking action on points requiring action from NPE and improvement of network reliability.
• Induction of new technology and new products in the network, technology selection and evaluation, technical recommendations.
• Monitoring Project management activities to ensure timely completion of projects.
• Preparation of transport network planning guidelines, approving the detailed network plan for each circle, procurement of eqpt. and monitoring the network implementation for the phased  augmentation of the CDMA network
• Maintaining liaision with the NST & Regulatory teams at Delhi for Spectrum management, NOCC clearances and DOT clearances for Network Architecture, LIM etc.
• Approval of Budgets and obtaining management concurrence for the same. Approval of PR’s and SCR’s.
• ILD network augmentation based upon Business inputs and building network resiliency.
• Planning of terrestrial networks to SAARC countries.
• To continuously monitor network optimization to ensure that the CAPEX and OPEX are minimized year on year to provide most cost effective network.
• Field experience in installation and maintenance of large telecom networks and quick adaptation to new trends & Technologies.
