New Consolidated Construction Co. Ltd. (NCCCL) with Head Office in Mumbai is a flagship company of Jasdanwalla Group. This 62 year old ISO 9001-2000 certified company, was formed in 1946 by Mr. Yahyabhai Jasdanwalla, father of Mr. Abbas Jasdanwalla who is the present Chairman & Managing Director of the company. The company started its operations by undertaking small civil contracts and soon became a major force in civil contracting arena and was entrusted the task of constructing almost every major pharmaceutical factory in Maharashtra.
NCCCL which is a Rs.3000 million (US$ 63 Million), 900 people strong pan India Company, has successfully completed variety of civil engineering projects, many of them like VSNL Tower in Mumbai, Visvesvariya centre in Bangalore have become major landmarks in these cities. NCCCL till date has constructed more than 100 million Sq.Ft. space and has to its credit construction of high rise Residential and Office Towers, Industrial Plants and Pharmaceutical Factories, Religious places like temples and churches, Malls, IT Parks, Townships, Individual Bungalows and has constructed many prestigious projects in Bhabha Atomic Research Centre, Mumbai and other defence establishments. Motto of Safety, Quality and Timely completion within Budgets and its effective implementation over the years, has kept the company at the forefront of major contracting companies in India.
This explains why a prestigious company like HDFC has joined hands with NCCCL as strategic partners and have also infused funds through HDFC sponsored fund ‘HIREF’. This amply confirms the pre-eminent position NCCCL enjoys in construction industry.
NCCCL presently has order book in excess of Rs.8000 Million (US$ 167 Million) and has around 25 major projects simultaneously progressing in Mumbai, Pune, Bangalore, Indore, Hyderabad, Baddi (Himachal Pradesh), Goa, Chennai and other regions. The day to day management of the company is looked after by Mr. Saleem Jasdanwalla – Dy. Managing Director and Mr. Mahesh Mudda – Exe. Director and CEO of the company, who take major decisions in consultation with Board of Directors.
The company has extensive investment in various machineries required by construction industry viz: Tower Cranes, JCBs, Poclains, Dumpers, Tippers etc. and has full array of technical and commercial mechanism in place for carrying out the most complex civil contract upto 5 million Sq.Ft. per site.
The company is extensively computerised and is currently in the process of setting up ERP system for effectively integrating its various activities spread across various cities in India. The company has kept pace with various technological improvements in construction field and has updated its work practices to reap benefit.
NCCCL though known for its engineering expertise for carrying out very complex civil contracts, also has a humane face and knows its social responsibility as a corporate citizen. The company undertakes many social activities like education of construction workers, providing regular health check ups for its construction labourers, provision of ambulance services at every construction site etc. This has earned NCCCL loyalty of not only its employees but also its contractors and clients - many of them have placed repeat orders with NCCCL.
