Job Description
Urgent Req at Vodafone Pune :Transition Lead frm Telecom domain - 15+ yearsJob Description:
¡ To manage the transition of IT services to VISPL across multiple service domains and from multiple countries (OpCos)
¡ To lead and provide leadership role the transition teams
¡ To provide SPOC for VISPL central demand team / stake holders and VISPL partners
¡ To assist management decisions on IT investment by providing inputs for detailed business cases for Resources & Changes to IT Services
ESSENCE OF ROLE- Key Accountabilities
· To plan & implement transition program management for identified line of services as per agreed timelines and quality
· To ensure smooth Knowledge Acquisition onsite from OpCo stake holders and also smooth Knowledge transfer to delivery teams
· To ensure smooth and successful Shadowing and Reverse shadowing of transition of services
· Develop risks, issues & dependency matrix and ensure mitigation plan is in place
· Formulate and improvise transition strategy, methodology & processes for efficient transition of services to VISPL
· To maintain professional and cordial relationship with OpCo stake holders, central service demand teams and also the partners/vendors to implement transitions
· To manage and control the IT Services transition cost and to attribute these costs to the services delivered to the OpCo /Domains (Organization’s Customers’)
· Ensure that all service pre-requistes, i.e. organizational and technical, are fullfiled at VISPL
Technical Capability & Budget management
· To maintain awareness of Telecom domain services and provide alternative supporting approaches to enhance VISPL Business domain while maintaining bottom line and quality
· Coordinate with third parties for resourcing quality transition & operational teams with agreed rate card in a competitive environment
· Provide inputs and budget forecasts to the planning team
· Manage budget for transitions as per agreed parameters
· Optimize operational planning to achieve better utilization of resources and thereby cost s savings
· To provide point of escalation for delivery of transition services across domains and countries
· Appraise VISPL senior management of various issues and mitigation thereof
· Resolve all issues and address all risks raised by Service owners, VISPL Management
· Support and work with demand lead domain / service owner from inception to handover to service operations
· Validate technology capability with SME/ Ops Team /Central Resourcing team and ensure smooth handover of service delivery to operations team
· Identify & document connectivity & access (physical & logical) requirement and ensure solution is in place
· Regular transition reporting and maintain strong relationship with all stakeholders
FINANCIAL (Limits/Mandates Etc.)
§ Manage the activities of large & multiple transition team to deliver transition of services to agreed time, cost and quality against service levels in a global environment
§ Lead a working group of contributors from key stakeholders Vodafone technology Information Services & Countries and Vendors.
§ Establish and maintain communication networks with external and internal customers / interfaces as required, e.g. Vodafone Technology, Network Services, Information Services & Countries, vendors, GSCM, R& D.., etc.
§ Work with CIO community to broker commitment to the IS Strategic programmes and initiatives.
· Efficient & Smooth transition of services with no or minimal service disruption and within budget
· High quality transition and operational documentation as out come of Transition and pre-requisite for Operations
· Service-specific Transition strategy & transition plans
· Transition and Operations methodology, tools & templates
· Transition issues, risks and action plans
· Transition status reporting & tracking
· Service Operations KPI tracking and Governance
B.Tech/ BE / MCA with 15-18 Years of relevant experience in a large and complex environment
Exposure to International working style (specially in a multi culture & European environment) and ability to work in a challenging muti-cultural environment with matrix reporting structure
Hands on experience in a large Telco operations management and handling multiple transition of services in a Telco environment and handling large and multiple teams
Good Knowledge of MS Project Management, Advance Excel, MS Power Point & MS Visio
A good understanding of corporate performance management, customer relationship management, product lifecycle management, supply chain management and supplier relationship management
Well-versed in ITIL standards and quality standards for delivery of services
Leadership qualities - Strong interpersonal skills with an ability to coach, mentor, motivate and supervise cross functional team
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills on all levels up to Senior Management (CIO/CTO)
Very organized and very good in planning, managing and monitoring status of projects
Should have can do attitude to deliver results in time and even in a conflicting situations
Should have the willingness in Putting customers first in all VISPL dealings
