You are a result oriented problem solver. You live to guide and direct multiple projects simultaneously. You enjoy serving as a liaison and primary business interface (both internal and external) during the delivery of technology solutions to customer sites. You are directly responsible for translating customer requirements into well defined systems design specifications and provide integration expertise for all products and systems employed. Your primary focus is to provide solution definition, execution planning and best practice expertise. You have the skills and experience to smartly overcome related issues and obstacles to ensure the customer’s business and product requirements are fulfilled as intended. Consultant(s) serve to establish and maintain a "trusted advisor" role to provide timely design, support and clarification for the purposes of delivering the highest levels of customer satisfaction in a thorough and effective manner. You autonomously execute assignments and creatively prioritize deadlines to get the job done. You enjoy extensive travel to customer engagements around the world, some of which are in the most exciting places in Africa, Europe, North America, The Caribbean and the islands of the South Pacific.Travel: 80%What will you deliver? · Responsible for analyzing business requirements - designing and defining system requirements for customer systems and/or preparing studies and analyzing existing systems;· Analyzing customer business objectives and translating these within context of the Redknee solution;· Develop top quality feasibility studies, integration design documentation, and formulate test strategies;· Prepare use cases and architecture analysis based on systems requirements;· Analyse implementation risks, interface impacts, and propose and present feasible implementation solutions; · Analyze customer launch objectives and competitive landscape, and define go-to-market package including rate plan definition and customer segmentation; and· Responsible for business continuity planning during and post upgrades/migration (ownership of business process and feature alignment for upgrades & migration)What will you bring?Strong background in wireless network architecture, service design and telecom software solutions (Billing, Rating, Messaging, Voice and/or Data, etc.);Experience working in a customer facing role, e.g. as a Solution Architect, Pre-Sales Engineer or Design Analyst/Consultant;Strong analytical problem solving skills and the ability to resolve a wide range of issues in imaginative and practical ways;Excellent technical skills with moderate understanding of UNIX and the software lifecycle; Experience with competitive analysis and consumer trends in wireless;· Experience of being involved in Billing system migrations/Upgrades· Superior Business process definition experience Ability to travel extensively on long term global assignments. Education and qualifications· Minimum of 2 years in extensive customer facing role analyzing customer requirements, feasibility studies, solution design;· 3-5 years related technical consulting experience in Telecom industry;· Experience or understanding in telecom networks (GSM/CDMA) or telecom billing solutions;· Fluent English (verbal and written) is required;· University degree in computer science, engineering/technical discipline and/or technical certification required or equivalent related work experience; · Involvement with Billing system migration & upgrades is a must· Post-secondary education in business, marketing or finance would be beneficial.
