Job Description
Position: - System Engineer-RF Tools
Experience: - 7 – 11 Years
Location: - Bangalore
Position Details
This position requires for an engineer to have a strong RF background to support the Services Tools suite of RF Tools which are used for new product introduction and for deployment of 3G1X CDMA, EVDO, UMTS, and LTE wireless networks globally.
The Systems Engineer will be responsible for authoring SRDs (system requirements documents); expert level application testing; analyze drive test data and or network level data; provide training and support to other engineers who use these tools to deploy and support wireless networks globally; provide lab support when needed.
Excellent communication skills are a must. The Systems Engineer will post process and analyze drive data, and call traces of mobile logged data.
Key Responsibilities / Functions:
- Author System Requirements Documents
- Post process data and analyze drive test data collected from mobiles.
- Analyze network data collected from the E-UTRAN and the Evolved Packet Core (EPC)
- Provide tool enhancement recommendations to support evolving 3GPP and 3GPP2 standards
- Provide tool support and train users on the Services RF Tool Suite
- Interface with RF engineers to ensure that post-processing tool needs for technology trials and deployments are met
- Support occasional lab testing which utilizes simulators, data logging and post processing tools.
Required Qualifications
BE/BTech in Electronics and Communication or Computer Science with focus on Digital communication.
Should have minimum 5 years of work experience in Systems Engineering or RF Engineering domain.
RF design or RF optimization experience in 3G1X CDMA, EVDO, UMTS, and LTE networks.
Knowledge of 3GPP and 3GPP2 standards.
Good communication and leadership skills
Desired Qualifications:
1.M.E / M.Tech in Electronics and Communication or Computer Science with focus on Digital communication.
2.Knowledge of commercial drive test data collection platforms.
